But then I made the mistake of reading A Secret Love,which has a stupid, completely illogical plot. Ever since I have refused to even look at a Stephanie Laurens novel. Overwrought passion is ok for me in a romance novel, but I expect authors to put a little thought in their plots. I originally enjoyed Laurens’ novels too, the first one I read was A Rake’s Vow. (Swedish Berries, Fuzzy Peaches, etc.) Really really good when you want them -- but please (!) not every day! If you aren't sure if you want to get your toes wet -- Stephanie Laurens' webpage has largish chunks of each book up for previews. :) My favorite is "Where the heart leads".
